Black Shower Screen for Bath - Central London

This striking black shower screen for baths transforms a Central London bathroom with its massive 1000x1800 mm size. The 1000mm width is significantly wider than standard bath screens – we recommend at least 900mm for optimal water protection, and this exceeds that nicely. We used 8mm ultra-clear glass to ensure the natural light from the window still brightens the entire space.

This 1800 mm tall black shower screen for the bath creates a striking feature in the green-tiled bathroom. The satin black frame stands out against the vertical green tiles, while the ultra-clear glass keeps the space feeling open and bright. Notice how the black frame perfectly matches the existing black mirror frame, creating a coordinated look throughout the bathroom.

The 25 mm x 30 mm frame profile gives the screen a slim, modern look without visible bolts or fixtures. We reinforce our frames internally with carbon fibre bars for extra rigidity, which is especially important for large screens like this. The hidden wall fixings inside the frame mean you only see clean lines and smooth surfaces.

Looking from outside the shower area, you can see the black shower screen over the bath. This design choice complements the brass fixtures throughout the bathroom harmoniously. Black shower screens are the perfect second choice after brass when your taps and shower heads are brass – they provide necessary contrast lines while still looking coordinated.

We positioned the screen to sit neatly on the bath edge with proper sealing underneath to prevent any water from getting through. The marble bath surround showcases the quality of finishes throughout this bathroom, and our black frame adds to this premium feel while also being practical.

From this angle, you can see the full impact of the 1800 mm high black shower screen over the bathtub. The brass showerhead sits well within the protected area, and the 1000 mm width provides ample room for comfortable showering. We carefully measured the bathroom to create a custom shower screen that fits perfectly with the existing layout.

The combination of a black frame and brass hardware creates a timeless look that suits both modern and traditional bathrooms. The hexagonal floor tiles and marble bath surrounds demonstrate the versatility of black frames – they provide the contrast lines that bring a design together, working well with any style.

Practical features of black bath screens

This closer view shows the practical benefits of our black shower screen over the bath design. The frame conceals all the seals and fixings that would be visible with frameless glass, resulting in a much neater appearance. The black finish also hides water spots and fingerprints better than chrome, making it easier to maintain a clean appearance.

We applied our easy-clean coating to the glass at no extra charge, which repels water and prevents limescale buildup. This coating works exceptionally well over baths, where soap and shampoo can create more residue than in regular showers. Every glass shower panel includes a protective coating.

Complete bathroom view with black screen

The final view shows how the black shower screen for the bath fits into the complete bathroom design. The massive size of this screen – at 1000 mm wide and 1800 mm tall – makes it perfect for people who prefer powerful showers but only have space for a bath. It creates a proper shower experience without compromising on style.

Our survey team checked every measurement during their site visit, ensuring the screen would fit perfectly despite the Victorian property's uneven walls. This attention to detail during our survey, design, and installation process ensures you receive a watertight seal and a professional finish that will last for years.
