Shower glass specialists across the UK

UK shower glass specialists since 2014
Caledora is a Made in Britain member specialising in high-end shower glass for residential and trade projects — including the complex installs others won't take on. Two locations — a Milton Keynes workshop where every project is built, and London operations covering the south-east. UK-wide service, surveyed in 3D, fitted by our permanent fitters.
Built in Britain at our Milton Keynes workshop
Frame manufacture, plating, painted glass and final assembly all run from the workshop. UK-made structural components paired with European specialist hardware where the trade demands the best. Permanent fitters — exclusive to Caledora, trained on shower glass for years.
Trusted by architects and builders
Most of our work is repeat trade business. Architects and builders specify Caledora across their projects — they place the order; we present the design directly to the end client. Hands-free for the trade, full service for the homeowner.
Built for the bathroom you actually have
Every shower we make is designed for one specific bathroom — surveyed in 3D, manufactured at our Milton Keynes workshop. Standard ranges work when the space is a standard rectangle. Most real bathrooms aren't that: a bath in the way, a sloped loft ceiling, a half-wall, an alcove that doesn't match any catalogue width, or a configuration the off-the-shelf market doesn't offer. Browse our bespoke shower screens, doors and enclosures for examples.
Full-height fitted
Why standard sizes rarely fit
The dominant reason clients commission a fitted shower isn't aesthetic — it's fit. Catalogue products are sized for empty rectangular zones with nothing in the way. Walk into a loft conversion with sloped eaves, a period bathroom with a bath against the only viable shower wall, or an alcove that's 70mm wider than the largest standard option, and you don't have a catalogue choice — fitted is the only thing that works.
Beyond fit: technique and finish
Going beyond catalogue unlocks technique: fused-pattern glass, laminated CNC metal, transom windows, mesh-in-glass, gradient sandblasting. Plus 24 metal finishes and any glass type. Geometric awkwardness — lofts, angles, alcoves — is a normal week for us. Complex projects? We deliver.
Three product types
We make shower glass in three configurations — defined by what they do mechanically, not by aesthetics. Open whichever fits the bathroom you're planning.

Screens
Fixed glass panels with no door — walk-in screens, bath screens, single panels mounted to wall or floor. Browse our shower screens for fixed-panel configurations.

Doors
Mechanical openings — sliding, hinged or bifold — used to seal an existing tiled opening or paired with screens. Browse our shower doors for the available mechanisms and frame finishes.

Enclosures
Glass that seals a shower fully — three-sided, corner or alcove. Combine screens and doors into a complete water-containing setup. Browse our shower enclosures for full configurations.

How we work
Four stages from your first email to a fitted install. A simple project typically runs 3–5 weeks end-to-end.
Step 01
Enquiry & quote
Standard single-item quotes within 2–3 working hours. Complex or multi-item jobs take a little longer while production checks specifics. Mon–Fri working hours.
Step 02
Survey & 3D scan
On site within 2–3 days; urgent cases often arranged next-day if our schedule allows. Full 3D scan plus tape verification on critical dimensions. Survey is included with every project.
Step 03
Design & production
Scaled 3D drawings issued 2–5 working days after deposit. Each design is checked by production before sending — to confirm it can be built as drawn. Production: 10 working days frameless, 3–4 weeks framed. Multi-layer projects (laminated metal-in-glass, arched shapes, bespoke finishes) can run up to 6 weeks.
Step 04
Installation
1–3 days on site by Caledora's permanent fitters — exclusive to us, trained on shower glass for years. Watertightness, alignment and door action checked with you before sign-off. Every install is photographed for office QC, with random on-site audits by our managers.

What clients say

★★★★★
"This company is really very good indeed. The job was a complex one and involved installing a shower screen that was hinged on a corner (requiring some special hinges from Germany), and closing on an angled wall just off some architrave. The tolerances were in the mm. They mocked up the image with CGI graphics, and were also extremely professional in the installation."
— David Cuin-Wood
★★★★★
"Excellent company and very thorough. Taking exact measurements and delivering a high-class product and installed by a very competent team. I have now had the doors (three shower cubicles) for nearly six months and I can't fault them — no faults and good as the day they were installed."
— Minesh Patel
★★★★★
"The most excellent service from initial contact. I contacted several companies, but creative glass studio stood out. Fast, efficient, knowledgeable response. The fitters were superb, hard-working, clean and a delight to have in one's home. I cannot recommend this service enough."
— Simon Crawley
★★★★★
"Working with the team at Creative Glass Studio has been an absolute pleasure, and the finished product could not be better. You can tell just by looking that this is an exceptionally high quality product, and I'm sure it will continue to glide smoothly for years to come."

Frequently asked questions
Brand-level answers about Caledora itself. Product-specific questions are answered on each cluster page.
Why was the company renamed from Creative Glass Studio to Caledora?
We traded as Creative Glass Studio Ltd for ten years from 2014. The original name was generic — many UK glaziers use similar "Glass Studio" patterns, making us hard to find online and harder for clients to remember. Caledora is unique, registered as a trademark, and shorter to say. The legal entity (Creative Glass Studio Ltd, Companies House 09098618) is unchanged — same team, same workshop, same client base. Reviews under the old name are still ours; the rebrand didn't reset our track record. There's no tax or corporate restructure behind it — just a brand simplification.
How long has Caledora been making shower glass?
Caledora launched in 2014, though our management's hands-on experience in glass goes back over 27 years across multiple markets, technologies and project types. As Caledora, we've fitted over 10,000 shower-glass items across the UK — we lost count years ago — and have photographed more than 2,000 individual installations in our archive. Most of our work is repeat trade business: architects, builders and bathroom designers who specify Caledora across multiple projects.
Where is Caledora based and do you cover the whole UK?
Two locations: our main workshop is in Milton Keynes (where every project is built), and London operations cover the south-east. We deliver and install across the UK. Standard pricing applies within an hour's drive of either location; beyond that, the quote is adjusted for travel time, accommodation and overtime — for jobs roughly three hours' drive away or more, we usually stay locally for several days to complete the install in one trip. Distant projects become cost-effective mainly when multiple items are ordered for the same property — travel cost spreads across several installations rather than a single piece. Share your postcode in the enquiry and we'll confirm specific terms for your location.
What makes Caledora different from a regular glazier or shower retailer?
We design, manufacture AND install — under one roof, one quote, one accountable supplier. Most shower retailers supply only (you arrange your own fitter — and any post-install issue becomes a "not our problem" loop between two suppliers). Most general glaziers do shower glass occasionally, not as their specialism. Caledora sits in the middle: shower-glass-only specialism plus full end-to-end service. Pricing stays competitive with mid-range catalogue products despite the bespoke service.
Do you take on complex or unusual projects?
Depends what "complex" means. Geometric awkwardness — angled walls, sloped lofts, half-walls, pentagon corners, baths intruding into the shower zone — is straightforward to us; that's most projects. Where things get genuinely interesting: fused glass with melted patterns, arched doors, CNC-cut metal nickel-plated and laminated between two glass panels, transom windows above framed shower doors, mesh or textile laminated inside framed glass, gradient sandblasting. Other contractors decline these because the supply chain is bespoke at every step. For us they're some of the work we enjoy most. Send a photo or sketch — if there's a way to make it work, we'll find it. If there isn't, we'll tell you up front rather than waste your survey time.
Is Caledora insured? What insurance do you carry?
£5m Public Liability + £5m Employer's Liability, both underwritten by U K Insurance Limited (Direct Line). Policy 701960218 — certificates available on request. Never claimed on either policy. The £5m PL is above the £2m most UK glaziers carry; trade clients (architects, builders) often specifically ask for this level before specifying contractors.
Do you do supply-only or full-service only?
Full-service only. Every project includes survey, design, manufacture, delivery and installation as one integrated service. The reason is the 3-year workmanship warranty — we can only stand behind it for installs we did ourselves. Trade clients sometimes ask for supply-only to use their own fitter; we politely decline rather than warrant work we didn't control. Architects who've worked with us repeatedly tell us this is exactly why they specify Caledora.
Can I see samples or visit the workshop?
Yes — Milton Keynes workshop visits are available by appointment. For samples, we usually send glass and metal-finish samples by courier so you can review them at home or in your design environment. If you'd prefer to see them in person during the site survey, we can bring a curated selection. Specifying architects or designers who want to see frames being fabricated or finishes in real workshop light can email directly to arrange. Most homeowner clients view design through our 3D drawings rather than requiring physical samples.
How does Caledora avoid installation issues?
Quality control runs across every stage rather than as a final inspection. Before any commitment, we survey the site — even if mid-renovation — to verify the largest panel fits, check access, and capture all requirements before invoicing. The survey itself uses two independent sources: a 3D scan PLUS tape measurements and photographs, so any calibration error is caught early. Production drawings are generated directly from the 3D scan (no human transcription between papers), then a second experienced team member reviews them before manufacture. Office QC inspects each piece before packing. Fitters verify part dimensions against the drawings before leaving for site. After installation, a manager may visit unannounced to inspect joints, sealing and door action — and fitters film close-up video of every joint for our archive (also our evidence if other trades damage the install after we leave). We book one project per fitter team per day so they can work without rushing — most installation issues in the trade come from fitters racing the clock to fit two or three jobs in a day.
