This custom smoked glass shower enclosure in Oxted features bronze-tinted glass with sandblasted frosting for complete privacy. The trackless sliding system features brass-coated stainless steel wheels and a circular hole handle, creating a luxurious frosted shower enclosure that perfectly complements the marble bathroom design.
This smoked glass shower enclosure shows why bronze-tinted glass is such a popular choice for luxury bathrooms. The warm bronze colour creates a pleasing look. At the same time, the sandblasted surface provides complete privacy without blocking light from flowing through the space.
After toughening the glass face, we sandblast it to achieve the frosted effect, creating a rough texture that conceals everything behind it. We applied an easy-to-clean coating to both surfaces—the inside face prevents limescale buildup, while the outside face stops fingerprints and watermarks from showing.
The clever design of this frosted shower enclosure eliminates the need for floor or ceiling tracks, utilising brass-coated stainless steel wheels that run in a channel cut into the L-shaped glass panel. This trackless approach keeps the floor completely clear, while the brass finish matches the other bathroom fixtures perfectly.
Our PVD coating process transforms the standard stainless steel wheels to match the brushed brass taps and fittings throughout the bathroom. This type of coating is significantly more durable than paint and won't chip or fade over time, unlike cheaper alternatives for shower enclosures.

The combination of bronze tinting and sandblasted frosting is more effective than either technique alone. The bronze colour adds elegance to the shower enclosure, enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal. Meanwhile, the sandblasted texture ensures complete privacy, making this solution ideal for shower enclosures where privacy is a crucial requirement.
Instead of a traditional handle, we created a 50 mm polished circular hole that works perfectly for opening and closing the sliding door. This design choice complements the rounded shape of the brass wheels, creating a clean, modern look throughout the shower design.
The door overlaps with the fixed panel by 40 mm, allowing water to stay inside without requiring PVC door seals along the edge. A small, clear acrylic threshold on the floor keeps water from escaping. Additionally, the brass-coated U-channels at the top provide secure fixing to the sliding door system over the marble slabs.
